I was talking with a few of my friends about our Spring Sale and to my amazement, most of them have never been to a children's resale before. I have been going for 4 years now and I must say, after the first one (if it's a good one) you are addicted! Yes, there have been some icky ones which were glorified garage sales. If you have been to those, please don't let that turn you off!
What do you do when your child outgrows his or her clothes, sometimes after wearing them only one or two times--or none at all? What if you could buy new or gently used brand-name clothes, shoes and more, for a fraction of the original price, (many items new with tags)? At the same time, you could sell those like-new items and earn 70-80% of the price!
What makes our "Upscale Resale" different?
1. Designer Brands (we don't accept everything!)
2. Quality Items-no odors, stains or rips
3. Organized-racks of clothes on hangers!
of diverse items.
3. Online Inventory- barcode scanning. Sellers enter their items and check their sales online.
4. We Care-We donate a portion of our sales to charity, and conduct fundraisers for schools and other non-profits.
"I would never buy someone else's clothes." I totally understand that, for adult clothes, but kids clothes are different! Quality items are expensive and kids grow out of them too fast. Most of their outfits are still like new when they start to get snug. Take for example shoes--my daughter has had a couple of pairs at each size. Unless you are going hiking or trudging through the mud, name-brand shoes will last the duration of your little one and a few more...
One more reason to shop--Moms like ME. Cleaning through my children's closets I find clothes and shoes with the tags still on them. Things I forgot about and now I feel guilty because they no longer fit. What choices do I have? Craigslist? Ebay? Garage Sale? Nope. It takes too much time and effort. Plus, at garage sales everyone is looking for 25 cent items. I LOVE finding items new with tags at a resale because I know I am getting an incredible deal.
So, what are you waiting for? Don't be wary. Register to become a consignor or show up on May 11th ready to shop!
